Did you know that July is National Grilling Month and that July 10-12 is International Chicken Wing Week? Wow! A whole weekend devoted to the attention of those tasty and tender chicken wings. Perhaps you may not realize that July is also a compassionate month as it recognizes "Dog Days" and "Dog House Repairs" Month. It is now time to give our furry companions a little extra. Comedian Buddy Hackett has highlighted the Companion Golden Retriever Rescue Program whose aim is to rescue and find homes for abandoned golden retrievers. Though July 2, 2001 was deemed by Congress as Literacy day, The Barbara Bush Foundation for Literacy endures year round.
