Hu are you?

For a number of years my son, Tony, had noticed people reacting to him in a negative way. They were judging him solely on his appearance and not bothering to see the wonderful son, husband and father that he is. While taking an English Composition class at college he read the story "Just Walk On By" by Brent Staples. In this story Mr. Staples told of being judged solely on the basis of his outward appearance. This struck a deep chord in my son's soul...he too knew the pain of being judged solely on appearance.
Instead of just ranting about the horrible injustice of being judged on looks alone he chose to do something. He formed the Hu World Movement in the belief that people together could change the way we look at one another. The Hu Movement he has created holds the belief that all people, regardless of skin color, religious belief, sexual orientation, age, country of origin are all one race...The Hu-man race. To acheive his goal he has designed a web site, huworld.ning.com where people the world over are invited to join in his cause. It started just a few short weeks age with just 4 members and has slowly grown to over 30. He welcomes one and all to visit the site and join the movement knowing in his soul that only through love of one's fellow man will the world ever know peace.
To say that I am a proud parent is an understatement. My wonderful tall, bald, tattooed son has chosen to make a difference in a world where intolerance runs amok. My heart overflows with love and pride when I see what he has done. I would urge one and all to join with us so our children and their children will someday know peace. Blessings
