Back in early 90's I worked for a local Wal-mart store and they were  having a sports card show in the store. And was  a cashier at the time they had the show going on and as the time went on people was buying sports cards etc etc. I decided to check it out while I was on my lunch break and asked question so I did and what I had was if they had some Michael Jordan cards? and the dealer said yes so he show me what he had in Michael Jordan cards and other M ichael Jordan items. There was so many cards that I want in Michael Jordan that they wasn't in my price ranges that I walk to another dealer who had more Michael Jordan cards at a cheap price that I spend my whole lunch break on which was I like to get. So I bought like 3 cards and found out there was cheap the dealer had gave me a really good deal! So I went on to buy cards made by Fleet,NBAHoops,Upper Deck, and I'd find at least 2 different Michael Jordan cards out of a pack. I spend most of my paycheck on them with me working at Wal-mart  we get a discount so it help out some. Til one day I forget to put one of my MJ cards away and never would have in my wildest dream that I'd wash and dry 1 of the cards I got a show!! So as time went by I was upset because I thinking to myself that I'd will never find that same card. In till heard somebody talking about a Sport card show on the weekend I  was schedule to work but it was for 3 days friday,saturday,sunday well it left me out sothere went my dreams of trying to get the card I wash abd dry when I did my clothes. So I asked the person who was talking about the show if they was just coming only for them days and they  reply No!!! so me being me asked while when are they coming again? they reply back saying next month!! so ok maybe I'll see you there?? (my bus stop came) I went on to work as kind happy but I just had to buy 1 pack of Fleet,Upper Deck to add to the 9 MJ cards  and in each I was hoping to get from 1 of them a MJ card but there was no luck. So wouldn't by any cards till I felt in my heart I would get the 1 Jordan card I was missing and the sport card show was near so I bought 1 pack of the cards it had everyone from Magic Johnson to Dr. J andI got mad was going to trash them and something said look threw thoses cards again and I did to my special I found the same MJ card behind another player when I was going to trash the pack. So when onto the Sport card show seen all kinds of dealers even came across the person on the bus he was a dealer at the show I'm like wow!!!! so I had like $300 in my pocket was looking card high MJ cards to the very cheap MJ cards. And so I began looking asking for MJ cards everyone was too high so I knew I couldn't buy them so seen a old lady say (look for a Babe Ruth card  etc etc) son you need work around them they'll give you what you want only if you learn to breal the price do by saying thats too much!! So I was to shy to do it she said watch amd learn son and I watch her do her magic  so she tap me as I look at all differnt kinds of MJ cards I want knew I did have that kind of cash on me?? for 1 MJ card it cost $25 bucks know I could get it so I told the dealer I don't have $25 bucks he reply what do you have I said only $15 and the old lady was a little way from me cleared her voice I'm like what now? she walk by(me and the dealer)  as the dealer was helpling somebody with a collection of Star Wars cards She reply no son don't by that card  I'm know like what I want that card just told the dealer I got $15 dollars so what I'm going to do? so asked me again if I want the card I reply again sir just have $15 your asking for $25 dealer seen I really want that card and he reply son gave $5 dollars I said to my self huh??? he said once again gave me $5 for the card seen you must really like Michael Jordan. I said yes. As time was going by seen the old lady sit down she replied son you got to know how to milk the cow!!! me being me said what are you talikng about???? she reply son it like this here if you see a card like whomever(MJ cards)  you trying to buy you have to plan on what your going to spend they know who will spend money on the cards who won't  she say if I had gave you a heads up you but that card (MJ) for $25 so pay always look around before you pay for a card you want. So I did just that spend $175 that day came out with at least 15 or 28 Michael Jordans from his All-Stars, Bulls,USA Baskeball etc etc you name it I had it. So would buy at least 3 to 5 packs card  a week get 3 different MJ cards out a pack. Till my nephews start want to collect and they give me money to get them packs and I do it and mess around they get the MJ cards me like no luck and they want to trade me for a Jordan card for a double me being me I did want give up a card I knew I had gotten at a showw it was had to find one  kind like the ones I had or ones found a pack. so I did for a while till it kind got old  and family says you spend to much money on theses cards? I became mad but I stop trading and stop buy the price for a pack of cards was too much even with a discont from Wal-mart so upset my nephews had MJ cards I didnt have they had doubles but traded there friends etc etc till one day I started again  then I but lost my job at Wal-mart that means no more discount in less I go to the shows?? I did rest kind of like history I went to collect 200 plus MJ cards the same  year Michael Jordan came back playing with the jersey no.45 (Bulls) knew I had to get some of them cards so went on to Sport card show seen my friend (old lady)  she reply where have you been?? so told her and she said remember what I told you and I did just that I worked my magic came home with a total of 20 cards with them had read He's back no.23 etc etc and even some that I never dream of getting to go with my MJ collection. So as MJ was trying to make a come back withe the (Bulls) and the jersey no.45 My cards reach a new high I had 288 and decided to go on the news with what I had collect  and did I the interview and found I was the only person at the time with 288 MJ cards and that I was missing one small part?? that was his rookie card the sport caster reply. But I knew I want that card but never would dream that it was up there in price. so I knew I didnt have thousand plus to get my hands on one. I kept on collection but no rookie card and my MJ collection grew to be 989  when MJ left the game he loved bests I seen many (Bulls) games but no MJ games have many wall posters,newspaper,magazines but I will say this here I still have all my MJ cards and wish I had his rookie card,never will pay the price of what there asking today cause I know my cards are  mostly like are the value of his rookie card thats  out there I won't dare buy a card in least it was real thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
