USO - We Thank You

This original submitted content does not necessarily represent the editorial style, standards or view of American Profile.

Our son, a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps, has been deployed to the Middle East three times. Two of them were to Iraq. Each time, we have gone to Camp Lejeune to see him off. We have always told him we would not cry, and have made it through, until they were on the bus to the airfield. We want to thank the USO for being there, at each deploy AND reunion, (when they return to the USA) EVERY Marine received a small care package, magazines, gum, too many things to mention to get them through the long flights and a loving memory of home. They have also been there for the families, a chance for us to say thanks for the packages and for being there for each Marine, especially those with no family there. They get a last hug and thanks for serving from these wonderful volunteers. Our son will soon return and be back in college, but he and our family will never forget what it meant to us - they gave me a chance to cry- where our son could not see!

Thanks to American Profile for the great stories! We receive ours in our edition of the Livingston County News, Western New York State.
