Captain John Stone

1st Lt. John Stone, as platoon leader of "I" Company, 3rd Battalion, 29th Marines, entered combat on Okinawa in April 1945. He assumed command in May 1945, surviving the 82 days conflict. On December 14th he was discharged and became a Captain.
