My Father, Burtis Lee Price, had a job that would have kept him out of the war, but he must have had a conviction that he should join the Army. I am amazed that he was a rifleman in an infantry division at the age of 35. He was able to take a shower on May 26, 1944, which was his 35th birthday. I have always wanted to know more about his military service, but I was taken aback when I realized how old he was.
