Callie's Buttermilk Pie Recipe

Ingredients
½ cup (1 stick) butter, melted
1 ¾ cups sugar
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
3 eggs, beaten
1 cup whole buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ to ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
¼ teaspoon salt
1 unbaked 9-inch deep-dish pie crust
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Combine the butter, sugar, flour, eggs, buttermilk, vanilla, nutmeg, and salt in a large bowl; whisk until smooth.
3. Pour the buttermilk mixture into the pie crust. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, until golden and a wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean.
4. Cool completely on a wire rack. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until serving time.
Serves 8.
