Best Applesauce Cake Recipe

Ingredients
3 cups applesauce
2 cups sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
4 cups all-purpose flour
4 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon cloves
1 teaspoon nutmeg
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 cup nuts (optional)
1 cup raisins (optional)
1 cup dried cherries (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 325F. Spray a tube pan with cooking spray and flour lightly.
2. Combine applesauce, sugar and oil. Mix well.
3. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, cloves, nutmeg and cinnamon. Add to applesauce mixture and blend well. Add nuts, raisins and dried cherries if using.
4. Pour batter into pan. Bake 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

Serves 16.
