Macadamia Nut Cookies Recipe
Ingredients
1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (12-ounce) bag white chocolate chips
3 cups uncooked quick oats
1 cup chopped macadamia nuts
Instructions
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (12-ounce) bag white chocolate chips
3 cups uncooked quick oats
1 cup chopped macadamia nuts
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. In a separate bowl, cream the butter with the brown sugar and granulated sugar. Add the eggs and vanilla to the creamed mixture. Stir in the dry ingredients until well mixed. Add the white chocolate chips, oats, and nuts. Allow the dough to rest 20 minutes.
Drop the dough, 1 teaspoon at a time, onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for about 10 minutes, watching carefully to avoid overbaking. The cookies should be light brown.
Yield: about 3 dozen
Tips From Our Test Kitchen:
Macadamia nut pieces can usually be found in the baking supply aisle at your grocery store. They are far less expensive than the whole nuts.
