Imus is a *%$@ and bully. Big deal... he bilked listeners and other donors for money to build a 4,00-acre ranch for his personal use. He lets cancer-kids serve as ranch hands a few months a year... He even let's the black ones sleep inside! What a saint!

Hey Imus... Go crap in your cowboy hat. You are irrelevant!

Stern would do anything for ratings.
Talk about nappy headed!
My niece went to the Imus ranch as a cancer surviver. She was 13 years old at the time. She loved it. She did not feel like she was being "used". She had a fun learning experience and I know she would do it again if invited again. He does a wonderful thing for sick children and siblings of babies that suffered from SID's. I have seen many pictures from my nieces trip to the ranch, everyone of them the children are smiling and do not look like they are being "worked" or "used". Just extremely happy.

"Howard Stern" you are a F***ING moron and a disgrace to man kind!! The things you say on your show are disgusting and you should be ashamed of yourself. YOU HAVE CHILDREN....AND YOU WANT THEM TO GROW UP IN A WORLD WHERE A MAN WHO DOES SO MUCH GOOD FOR SICK CHILDREN GETS FIRED FOR SAYING ONE THING OVER THE RADIO??? YOU AND THE RUTGERS WOMENS BASKETBALL TEAM AND AL F****ING SHARPTON NEED TO GET OVER YOURSELVES!!!

Do you people really believe that was really Howard Stern? Don't you think he is too busy with his vile show? I am sure he took great pleasure in this. He and Satan can laugh about it when he is in hell.
Personally, I think what Imus said was horrid, but he said it and it's done. He apologized and lost his job. He stood up and faced his mistake. We have freedom of speech (even for vile humans like Stern). If you don't like what they say, turn the channel or dial. Nobody is making you listen to them.
Do you need to be reminded that there are other problems in the world that are far more serious than was some ole cowboy said? Yes, he had a larger format to say that than most of us, but blacks and whites have both said distasteful things about ourselves and each other. Let us remember that we are in a war that we shouldn't be in.......we have a president that has taken US down the wrong road. He didn't take white's down one, black's down another. Every Sunday morning, This Week (on ABC) shows the name of our dead.....as Americans. It isn't clarified as "John Smith, 19, white, of Anytown, USA." We have blacks AND whites that are profitting off of the racial divide in this country. We give them too much power. Wake up! Let's go back to the day after 9/11 when we were AMERICANS, not black/white, he said/she said! We stood as a nation together and we should still be doing that today.
Carry on, Don Imus, with your work for the children. God Bless You!

It is NOT necassary to take it to another level by bringing up September 11th. And trust me,it is a day I will never forget, but that is not the issue here. |Maybe you to re-read what the message board was actually about.
What I will sincerely miss is Imus' determination to air the opinions of those who were routinely interrupted and outshouted by the likes of Bill O'Reilly, or ignored by the rest of network news. He asked intelligent questions and allowed his guests to finish their sentences. I loved him for encouraging Charles to play the piano on the air, and for giving some of those talented new country singers the opportunity to appear on his show. That show was unique and there is nothing else like it.

They did pick on Chris Carlin too much for being fat.... but notice that there is no National Association for the Advancement of FAT People to swoop down and take up for Chris, right??? And I felt a pang when his own son Wyatt told him to go to Iraq and step in front of a bomb. Sometimes it really did get too darned mean. But there are some people who have trouble accepting good strokes. Maybe this incident will peel away some of that thick skin and reveal more of the good man that's really inside there.

Find a way to get back to your audience, Don... we really MISS you!!!

Amen to that! We really do!
I listen to Imus because of his no-nonsense view on the world. For many years, Don and Bernard have performed outrageous skits that have caused us to laugh at ourselves whether we are a man, woman, white, black, Hispanic, Asian, heterosexual or homosexual, fat, thin, conservative or liberal, drug user or alcoholic, Christian or Muslim, Hebrew or atheist, etc. Imus had guests on that I would have never listened to or had heard about until Imus teased the heck out of them on his show. I have purchased books or visited websites because of his show. He has introduced his listeners to so much to include our ability to laugh at who is in the mirror and not take life so seriously.

Every weekday morning, KCAA 1050AM in Loma Linda CA is broadcasting the best of Imus. CBS filed a lawsuit in the Riverside Court last week in attempt to stop them from continuing the Imus broadcast.

God bless Don and Deidra, may you come out of this on the other side alot stronger and less vulnerable!

Don & Deirdra are wonderful people who like to make children understand what life is really like on a day to day working ranch. These children might have the ability to go on and make something of the life they have instead of steeling, cheating, and being a bumb. I would love to be a part of their world !!! If more people would treat their children like they are treating the children that participate at their ranch, then this world would be a different place. My husband lost a child to canceer at an early age and I lost my father to cancer, I think the way my father did, don't let it bring you to it's level, fight against the power of it's ability to disrupt your life as you know it.
