The article on Tony Madone was really inspirational. It truly shows the power of one person of faith stepping up to help his fellow man/woman. Even when he was using his own funds - and didn't get the original grant -- he kept on going. The story of one beautiful human being. I think this is what God intended us to do on Earth, i.e. help one another.

Thank you for the article, [b]Sharing His Harvest./b]What a wonderful "rest of the story" this was for our family to read of this farmer's ministry in Salida. We hear of what is done frequently at the Arkansas Valley Christian Mission. and help contribute to an aspect of the outreach there, through my brother and his wife, (residents of Buena Vista). Our three sons from Placerville, CA, work in the Arkansas Valley each summer at Noah's Ark Rafting, based in Buena Vista, CO. Last summer one of my sons frequently helped his aunt when she went to serve folks at that mission. The article was especially meaningful to him.

Thank you for making our world smaller by connecting us with such great stories. I look forward to them each Thursday!

In this article, Mr. Madone mentions "I saw him on the tractor disking ground for hay, and I went and rode along on the fender." Riding on the fender of a tractor is an unsafe habit. Although many farm members do this on a regular basis, it can have very dire consequences. In September of 2006 my mother was riding on the fender of our tractor while my father was bushhogging our back field. The fender broke and my mother feel under the bushhog. She was killed within minutes. I speak from first-hand experience that this practice is unsafe and by printing an article where a farmer mentions this type of behavior and does not mention its consequences, American Profile seems to be encouraging unsafe behavior. I hope for the sake of all your readers, you mention in your next publication how unsafe this practice can be. You should be more aware of the impact your articles can have on your readers.
