Kennywood is my favorite amusement park and the Thunderbolt is a great old wooden coaster.

The greatest one ever was the "Bobs" at Riverview in Chicago. Hope to visit the wooden ones in Ohio in the near future. You can keep all the metal ones...they should be called thrill rides, not roller coasters.

well, i like the steel ones but the wooden ones are clearly the best. with all the bumps and curves it is an experience that everyone should have the chance to have. i have to say that the Wildcat in Hershey Park is the best wooden rollercoaster i've ever been on...although the lightning racer, the Blue Sreak, and the Gemini aren't that bad.

My name is Carrie. I am 50 years old. My favorite roller coaster memory happened when I was 13. My family had gone to AstroWorld in Houston, Texas and I was dying to ride the "Greased Lightening" ride. It went to 60 mph in less than a second. The track made a loop in the middle, zoomed to end of the track in mid air, stopped, made the loop again, and ended. No one was brave enough to ride it with me. I finally talked my Dad into riding the ride with me. When we got off, Daddy said, "Never Again, Never Again!" He was white as a sheet. That's all he said. I had a blast, but it scared my Dad half to death. My dad has since gone to be with the Lord, but this roller coaster memory remains my favorite.

I am 59 years old and from the Pittsburgh area and love the coasters at Kennywood, but my favorite has to be the Thunderhead @ Dollywood in Pigeon Forge TN. It is a wooden coaster after the first drop it travels 55 mph the entire ride, it is wild. Last fall we were there and my wife went with me once but I rode it 8 times in a row. We also just came back from Disney World And rode Expedition Everest in Animal Kingdom and the Rock and Roller coaster in Hollywood Studios. They were great too.

Millennium force at cedar point in Sandusky, ohio is my favorite coaster, more than any other one I have ridden. Most people like this one the most, including the people who are related to me or good friends. This coaster is 310 feet tall and travels up to 93 mph. It is built right on the bay of Sandusky at the edge of the park. It also travels over an island in the center of the park and comes back to the station. You get your picture taken on it as it goes through one of a few tunnels. I think everyone should try it!

THe best ride this day and age is the GRIFFON at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Virginia. Scary looking to watch but WHAT A RIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My favorite ride is Top Thrill Dragster located at Cedar Point in Sandusky Ohio. 120 mph in about 4 seconds!!!!

My favorite roller coaster was an old wooden one built in Portland Oregon at Jantzen Beach Park. In the 50's and 60's I used to ride it almost every weekend. My first boyfriend and I had a contest to see who could ride the longest without getting sick or until our money ran out. I usually won.

My favorite roller coaster is " corkscrew " at canobie lake park. Favorite memory of it is when my friends and I rode it five times in one day.

My favorite coaster of all time is Maverick at Cedar Point in Sandusky Ohio. It has all of the elements a coaster should have and that's why it is my all time favorite.... for now (Cedar point 2010???)

My favorite Roller Coaster was Chaos at Opryland, now just a memory. Sad that it's demise was to lay in a field and grass grow up around it's parts. It was the ultimate experience. R.I.P.
