Recipe: Buttermilk Pie

I made this pie, it was delicious, however, I had a problem with the bakeing. The center never fully cooked. I had to leave it in the oven a long time and it over cooked the crust I don't know what i did wrong. Cooking times and temperatures generate more comments and questions than anything else. Mostly that's because everyone's oven is different. With my home oven, I always have to baking things longer--even though I set the oven to the specified temperature and check it with a separate thermometer in the oven. Maybe the air circulates differently in my oven???

That said, go ahead and cook the pie as long as it takes to get it mostly set. As it cools, it will continue to set. If the crust starts getting too brown, place a ring of aluminum foil around the edge and continue baking.
