That was a good idea! Honeyman is a good man and a hero because he made bikes to help people that need it.

My husband has emphysema. He was in the hospital for 5 days, with pneumonia, and didn't seem to be getting any better. I felt if he knew he was getting a bike, it may help to make him feel better. I was right! I honestly prayed to God that we could find a bike suitable for him. He has osteoporosis and had broken his spine in a car accident many years ago. At 52 years of age, he was having a great deal of difficulty walking, due to his disabilities. Well, we found an old Jesse James Signature bike (it looks like a little Harley!) at Lenny's Surf Shop on our beach, in Florida. I told my husband that I had found the perfect bike for him, and that we would be putting it on lay away and he would be able to go and see it when he got better. Amazingly, he did! He was so excited at the prospect of having a bicycle and focused on that. He was able to come home from the hospital in a weeks time, and they had saved his life. (Thank YOU Palms of Pasedena!!!). Well, now my hubby is able to feel the freedom of riding and loves to go out a couple times a day, and get around easily without having to walk. One time, a social worker suggested he have a wheel chair...NO WAY! He wouldn't give up the freedom of riding his bike until the time when he is absolutely not able to. I feel that the man in the article who creates and modifies bikes for physically disabled people is a miracle worker and a wonderful human being! Thank YOU
