Article: Bronzing Baby Shoes

I still have my baby shoes that my mom bronzed for me. I like the fact that my mom did that for me. I cherish the shoes. My brothers are bronzed as well.
I have two children now, Gracee is 4 years old and Corban, he is 9 months old. I have my daughters first walking shoes that I would so very much like to bronze but cannot afford to at this moment. I have yet to buy my sons first pair of walking shoes. But maybe by the time that i buy his first walking shoes to the time he outgrows them.....then maybe I can bronze both pair at the same time. that would be a great treasure for my children when they grow older........Love your work on bronzing baby shoes and other things as well.... I have baby shoes that were bronzed as well. My Mother had them bronzed by the American Bronzing Company after the end of World War Two. They were made as bookends and have lasted much longer than other momentos of my childhood.

we bronzed both of my daughter's first shoes and gave on of them to her grandmother, kept the other. She was a "preemie" so neither shoe took up a lot of room!
