When I click on the scissors image to edit my message above I get an "Oops" message that won't let me do it so I have to do this:

Wouldn't you know I'd make a mistake pointing another out. I wasn't looking at the picture when I wrote it. I meant to say that Peter Duel is on the left, not right.

And yes, I do now realize you can contact the editors by email and will do so. Got in a hurry and didn't check first.
You're right and American Profile is definitely wrong: Peter Duel is on the right. I remember the show itself and when he died.

Assuming the person who misidentified him was too young to remember the show, a Google Image search would have easily verified who was who.

I just wonder if the powers that be will read this and run a correction like they should. I've posted stuff and past mistakes but did they run a correction like most reputable newspapers would? No.

And I don't think there's a place on this site or listed in the magazine where you can write them to report errors except for snail mail.
Yes, I emailed an editor also who told me that after posting my message here. I should've done that first.
In the photo of Art on the beach circa 1955, is he not holding a cell phone in his left hand?

Apparently this photo has been altered for some reason because I know they didn't have cell phones then.

I would like to know who altered it and why? I can't believe the magazine would have done it intentionally unless he was originally holding something else that it thought would be inappropriate, such as a cigarette.

Did Mr. Linkletter submit it as altered and the magazine didn't notice it, or did but still ran it that way at his request?

I do hope and believe the magazine should give an explanation in a future issue.
