I fail to see how assembling other people quotes into a book makes a person a hero. I'm sure it was nice for his daughter, I like collecting inspirational quotes myself; but a 'hero'? He wants to donate 'a million' yet he only gives 10% of his profits. Seems more like "Do as I say, not as I do."

Manintheblackhat...Thank You. You said it all better than I could. I grew up in Scouting. My father was a District Executive in Chicago, Alton, and Montana. He loved and believed in Scouting, and I held him in proud esteem.
Unfortunately he did not live long enough to see his great grandson achieve Order of the Arrow and Eagle Scout, but I'm sure somehow he knows. It all boils down to the Scout Pledge and Oath. How can you expect to be a scout if you cannot live up to the standards? It is an honor to be his daughter.
