I loved your article on Tim Conway! I thought it was perfect! I met Tim Conway when I was 16 yrs. old, at a celebrity skiing event in 'Big Bear, Ca.' (1976) I lived there at the time. I had a nice camera and fib alittle so I could get up where the celebrities were. I said that I was there to take pictures for the school paper, and they let me move on. And once there I felt REAL intimidated around ALL of the celebs, and I think Tim Conway saw that so he came over and asked me for some gum. I was so excited! He made small talk with me and made me feel so much better! He pointed at his son which was skiing, and elbowed me and said,"That's my son! He's cute isn't he?" (Because I was the same age as his son!) I giggled. The next day the event was still going on and he saw me and came over and asked for some more gum! I thought that was so neat! And he introduced me to a few other actors and I felt almost at home by then. H knew I was real nervous. I met Mike Farrel and his daughter Erin (3 yrs.) And Mike Ferrel felt comfortable enough with me (because I was there for both days and had spoke with him and played with his daughter) that he actually asked me to watch the cute little girl while he went for hot cocoa. Wow! I was so honored! But Tim was my little helper on that. Years later I sent him a box of gum, with a note of thanks. That was one of my best memories. Thanks again Tim Conway! Your the Best!
