I am a Gentry decendent living in Brownwood, Texas. My mother passed away in 2005. She worked the Gentry geneology for some 35 years before passing away. I have been working on it for some 10 years. It makes me proud to know that my relative Jimmy Gentry is presented in your article. I have never met the man but I am related. All my kin came from the Nashville area back in the 1880's. My 6th great grandfather Nicholas was one of the founding fathers of Nashville, Tennessee.In reading the article about Jimmy's duty a Dachau I had an uncle who was one of the liberators of Dachau. I remember very a few of the stories he told me about it. He spoke very little about it.
