Stop writing those checks! I think I may have caused some confusion. It's 9,999 one-hundred dollar checks to total $999,900 plus the $100 you've already sent. (Yeah, right.)
Ursula, keep writing those one hundred dollar checks.... You've got 999,900 more to write! Why? Mr Imus started the ranch by spending one million dollars of his own money.

In case you don't understand, 999,900 plus 100 equals 1 million. That's for starters. Then you can start working on catching up on all he's given since the start of the ranch.

Wow, ursula, you must do wonderful things if the Imus family doesn't meet your standards. Please share how much money you have raised for other people, and how much of your own you give away! It will inspire us all, I'm sure.

I'm done with MSNBC! Couldn't they wait until things calm down? They and their sponsors are such cowards! It's a business decision doesn't hide that fact.

You may feel like you've been stripped naked...

but, my dear Iman, remember, you can keep your hat on... and keep movin' on!

Dear Mr. Imus,

I have watched your show on MSNBC for a long time. Thank you for brightening my mornings with laughter, great music, interesting interviews, and a big dose of "get over yourself!"

I've lived in the South for several years, and I get homesick for NY. You, Charles, and Bernie gave me morning reminders of that "New York state of mind" that seems crass, immoral, and insensitive, but really isn't. Gosh, sometimes I get so sick of Southern niceness!

Have you ever insulted women? Sure! Practically every day! I'm a woman and I laughed, often until tears messed up my makeup!

People need to realize that your comedy is not written in advance, rehearsed and censored before the show. It is enormously difficult to be quick-witted, entertaining, topical and funny, consistently, day after day.

Thank you, again, for helping me face some dreary days with a smile.

God bless you, your family, your ranch and the children it serves. Gosh, I'll miss you all.

Susan

P.S. Go ahead, everybody, call me a racist for appreciating Mr. Imus. I can take it: I'm a public school teacher and I'm used to it.
