In an age that inhibits children's self confidence in their natural creative ability, by overwhelming them with super fabricated cartoon, mechanically vocalized doll and action figure, in her article on ventriloquist educator Dennis Daniels, Ms Karvonen tastefully touches the deeper too often mysterious aspects of our creative impulse. Karvonen's article deftly counters the frequently misunderstood notion given to children that magic comes from things, not their imagination.
