Does Vanna White get to keep all the clothes she wears on Wheel of Fortune?
Cathy Smith, Allentown, Pa.
No, she doesn't keep her stylish wardrobe, which is loaned from various designers. "The clothes either go back to the designer or they're auctioned off at charity," says White, who was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this spring. "And I've never worn the same outfit twice." She really enjoys dressing up for the show. "It's like being a Barbie doll and getting all new clothes every day!"
I've seen a lot of reissues of Crosby, Stills & Nash albums lately. Does Stephen Stills have any new solo records?
A. Leigh, Lawton, Okla.
Stills, 61, one of the founding members of the band Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, recently released Man Alive, his first solo album in 14 years. The CD marks a bit of a musical reunion because it features his former CSN&Y mates Graham Nash and Neil Young. "They were my biggest support team, saying, 'C'mon, you've got to get this album finished,'" Stills says. The charity-minded father of seven heads The Stephen Stills Children's Music Project, which buys instruments for various after-school music programs.
What can you tell me about Cynthia Watros from Lost? I know I've seen her on other shows.
Dona Schumann, LeRoy, Minn.
The Michigan-born actress first became known on The Guiding Light, for which she won an Emmy. When she left the show in the late 1990s, she landed roles on The Drew Carey Show, the comedy series Titus and now the runaway hit Lost. Although Lost is filmed in Hawaii, Watros' main residence is in Los Angeles with her husband and their twin daughters. She was pregnant with the twins during the time she was starring in Titus, in which her character wasn't supposed to be pregnant. So, the show's directors "disguised" her condition by having Watros stand behind objects, hold various bulky items and wear dark clothes. When they ran out of camera angles and props, they came up with a plot twist that involved her character breaking a leg and being confined to a wheelchair.
Is my favorite comedian, Rich Little, still performing? I miss seeing him on TV.
Eryl Burnworth, Phoenix, Ariz.
Living in Las Vegas with his wife, Marie, the master impressionist performs regularly at the Orleans and the Suncoast hotel/casinos, as well as taking a few select dates around the country. "One of the audiences' favorite impressions is still Johnny Carson," he says. "They like Andy Rooney and Ronald Reagan, and these days I'm doing a lot of George W. he's given me some great material." Little's earliest impressions were of his teachers in high school, for which he got into constant trouble. He recently released a DVD called One's a Crowd, which is available on his website, www.richlittle.com. In the works: a DVD of A Christmas Carol and Robin Hood, in which he plays all the partsno surprise!
