Alex Trebek recently won his third Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Game Show Host of the quiz show, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary season. The native of Ontario, Canada, has appeared in more 70 movies and television shows, most often as himself. Trebek began his career with the Canadian Broadcasting Co. After more than 4,000 shows, Trebek says hes still impressed with the fast pace of Jeopardy! and the contestants sophisticated level of knowledge. The format is an exciting concept that challenges people to think quickly and make split-second decisions under pressure, he says. Hes active with a number of educational organizations and charities, including World Vision and the USO. He also hosts the annual National Geographic Bee. Trebek owns and manages Creston Farms, a thoroughbred horse farm in central California. He and his wife, Jean, and their two children, Emily and Matthew, live in Studio City, Calif. While hes best known as Agatha Christies Belgian detective, David Suchet is an associate artist of the Royal Shakespeare Company, where hes performed in plays such as King Lear and Richard II. He is married to former actress Shelia Farris and they have two adult children. The 57-year-old actor lives just outside London. Hes currently working on the last of four new two-hour movies of Poirot for A&EFive Little Pigs, Sad Cypress, The Hollow, and Death on the Nile. The last movie was shot on location in Egypt. In addition to the United Kingdom and United States, the series is broadcast in more than 80 countries. Suchet also starred in the A&E original movie Victoria & Albert. His film credits include A Perfect Murder, A Song for Europe, The Falcon and the Snowman, Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes, Iron Eagle, A World Apart, Executive Decision, and Sunday, a Grand Prize honoree at the Sundance Film Festival.

Myers is much more than a pretty face. The award-winning senior investigative correspondent for NBC News is known for her hard-hitting reports, including an exclusive report about a gaping hole in the efforts of the United States and the United Nations to freeze funds of those linked to Al-Qaeda. Before being named to her current job, she was NBCs chief congressional correspondent. She regularly contributes to the popular Fleecing of America segment on NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokaw and is on the political roundtable of Meet the Press with Tim Russert. Myers has covered seven presidential campaigns. She was White House correspondent for The Washington Star before joining NBC in 1981. While at the Star, she covered the U.S. Senate and the 1980 presidential campaigns of Ronald Reagan and Jimmy Carter. Between 1977 and 1979, she was a Washington correspondent for the Chicago Sun-Times. A native of Joplin, Mo. (pop. 45,504), she has a journalism degree from the University of Missouri and attended the Institute on Comparative Political and Economic Systems at Georgetown University. She now lives in Washington, D.C.
