What has Dana Delany been doing?Joanie D., California
Actress Dana Delany, 47, has been filming a television movie titled A Time to Remember, which will air Nov. 23 at 8 p.m. ET on the Hallmark Channel. She also is finishing a movie called Spin, for which no release date has been set. Delany probably is best known to audiences for playing Army nurse Colleen McMurphy on China Beach, a role that earned her two best actress Emmys. She recently starred in the short-lived CBS drama Presidio Med, a medical drama about a group of San Francisco female doctors. Before that, she starred in the FOX nighttime soap opera Pasadena. Her movie credits include Tombstone and Housesitter. Delany was raised in Stamford, Conn., and knew early on that she wanted to act. She perfected her craft on daytime television and in the New York theater after graduating from Wesleyan University. The actress also is working behind the scenes. Delany produced, as well as starred in, the ABC movie Final Jeopardy. The project was the first in a series of films based on Linda Fairsteins novels.
I have been watching Chuck Woolery on the Game Show Network and enjoy him very much. Could you tell me if he is still married to the mother of his children and how many does he have? If not, has he remarried?
Flo W., Minnesota
The man best known as host of Love Connection is married to Teri Nelson, granddaughter of Ozzie and Harriet Nelson. They have two sons, ages 7 and 13. Woolery has been married twice before, with six other children from those previous marriages. For a deeper look into the personal life of the 62-year-old Woolery, the Game Show Network airs Naturally Stoned, a reality series that follows Woolery at work and at home with his family. The title comes from a 1968 Top 40 hit Woolery wrote and sang with the group Avant Garde. Woolery also played Mr. Dingle in the kids show New Zoo Revue, and sang the hit songs of the day on a 1974 version of the classic TV show Your Hit Parade. When he appeared as a guest on The Merv Griffin Show, the host (who produces a number of game shows) pegged Woolery as the perfect host. Since I had a big head, he figured Id be a good game show host, Woolery says. Woolery now host GSNs Lingo.
I am a huge fan of former teen star Bobby Rydell. Can you tell me where he lives and does he perform anymore?
Danny P., Pennsylvania
Bobby Rydell, 61, lives in his hometown of Philadelphia with his wife of 35 years. They have two children and three grandchildren. And, yes, he still sings. Fans can often find him on a bill with fellow Philly crooners Fabian and Frankie Avalon in a show they call The Golden Boys. At the height of his career, Rydell had 34 Top 40 pop hits and starred opposite Ann Margret in the 1963 movie Bye Bye Birdie. Although he came to fame as a teen idol because his good looks caused teen girls to swoon, hes also critically acknowledged as a talented singer. Unfortunately, when the Beatles-led British Invasion happened, Rydell was swept off the charts, along with all of the other handsome boy singers. Like anything else in life, you go through peaks and valleys, he once remarked about his career. Thank God I was blessed with some talent and talent is a constant. I kept working.
