by Patty Strickland
“These bars have been a family favorite for nearly 50 years. I was a new mother in December 1959, when a neighbor brought over a plate of these bars along with a baby gift a few days after I arrived home.”

Thank you Patty for submitting this recipe! My mother made this recipe when I was a child and I had forgotten all about how good these cookies were! She has since passed on and I did not have the recipe. You made my day to see the recipe in the American Profile magazine!
Thank you!
