Jack Syrus and the Mysterious Shadow

                                        Chapter 1

                                        Birthday Gift                                            

Jack woke up on one fine morning which happened to be his birthday. He ran downstairs to see his parents very expectedly. When he went down, he saw all of his birthday presents. He hardly could count them because there was a roomful of presents. He runs towards the table where the largest of his gifts are kept. He stops abruptly near the table as he sees a misty cloud near the table and the room is awfully cold. Amidst the cloud, he sees a dark figure sitting on the table. Jack just freezes. He recognizes the figure and it is none other than his god father Magma Eskrow. The only problem is that his god father is no longer alive.                                                        

                                              Chapter 2

                                             Time for School

 

The alarm buzzed into Jack's ear the next morning. He switched it off and went back to sleep. "Jack...out of the bed NOW." shouted his mom. There was no response from Jack. Jack's mom popped some blueberry pancakes into the toaster. The aroma from the cakes filled the house. Jack could not resist it any more. He rolled out of the bed and clobbered down to the kitchen to grab some cakes. "Filthy Mouth" said his mom. No cakes for that one until it is clean. Jack ran upstairs to brush his teeth. He could hardly wait to lay his hands on the fresh cakes his mom had made. He ran down with the same speed that he came in to brush his teeth. He sat at the table and stuffed his mouth with the cakes. It was just then that he realized that it was the first day of school after their summer break. Jack was going to be a fourth grader this year. He had forgotten all about school. The thought of school made him very excited.                                                         

                                          Chapter 3

                                           A Big Shock

 

When he got down from the school bus, he felt something weird about himself. He stopped to check if he had all his things for school. And then his heart nearly stopped. His shadow was bigger than a tree. He ran towards the class not daring to look back. His heart was pounding real fast. He searched hard for his friend, Peter Mennings but could not seem to find him anywhere. He was in a fix and not knowing what to do. Just then someone tapped him softly and he whirled around to see Peter grinning with a sandwich in hand. "Peter, Peter. Where have you been? Something is happening to me". "Why, whats the matter. You look like a scared crow" said Peter. Jack took Peter to an empty classroom and closed the door behind. "I saw something very strange" said Jack. My shadow was as big as a tree and I am really going nuts as to why my shadow would be as big as a tree.

                                                Chapter 4

                                                A new relationship

Peter and Jack were interrupted by a tall man. "What are you two up to here? Time for class" he said. Peter and Jack rushed next door to their class and the tall man entered their class. "Good Morning, kids" he said. "I am Dr. Watson, your 4th grade teacher". The whole morning was spent in introductions and in discussing subjects that they will be handling this year. Soon it was time for lunch. Everyone rushed out of the class. "Jack" called someone when Jack was just about to exit the class. Jack turned and saw that it was Dr. Watson who had called him. Jack, Theres something I need to talk to you about. It is something I have been warned not to tell you or anyone. But I cannot put you at risk any more. "You are being watched and followed wherever you go". "Be careful, Be very careful". "Sir, what is it about? Who is following me. I noticed something too today. Please tell me" said Jack. The professor pulled Jack close to him and told him "You are a wizard and have secret magical powers. You will not feel that but you have it safely and secretly locked up in you. And they are after you. "Who doc? Who is after me? Please tell me" Yelled Jack. It's a wizard that has lost all its powers and one who cannot take his own form. He feeds on other people's forms. He is none other than the Dark Lord.

                                                Chapter 5

                                                The Dark Lord

Jack went home that night more worried than ever. He spent the whole night in his bed thinking what to do. He finally made up his mind to go looking for the dark lord. The cluck struck 12 and he realized that it was his 9 th birthday. He could hardly close his eyes. As he lay in his bed thinking, he spotted a light that was coming from downstairs. He slowly tiptoed towards the stairs and started going down the stairs. He noticed that his god father was sitting on the table as always on his birthdays. He decided to talk to his god father and gathered some courage to proceed. "Come my son", Magma said. "I have been waiting to talk to you for so many years and you are finally here" he said. "Who are you" asked Jack and why do you come to meet me on all my birthdays. "What do you want?" asked Jack. Jack, I am your god father and I was a great wizard those days. I had a lot of magical powers in me. The Dark Lord, mighty powerful dark magic wizard, tried to take me and steal me off the powers and reduce me to ashes. I had no choice but to hide my powers on you and sacrificed myself for the good of the world. The Dark Lord has now realized that my powers are still alive in you and is after you to get the powers back. But Only I can unlock the powers from you. Then Magma gave Jack a wand.

 

                                                Chapter 6

                                                2 on 1

That night, Jack and Magma ran out the door quietly. They saw the Dark Lord lurking in the shadows. The Dark Lord spotted them immediately! The Dark Lord challenged Magma. Magma went first. Ampharos  He muttered. A blue swirl of powerful light flew out of his wand. Jack did some quick thinking and muttered Moltreszapdos. Lightning and fire came out of Jack`s wand. The Dark Lord Muttered Articunolugia but nothing happened! The Dark Lord was too weak! He fell to the ground and perished. Soon he found out That Peter had been watching him.' Peter!'' Jack called ‘'Are you all right"? "Yes'' Said Peter ‘'But we will explain later, First, lets get out of here.'' How did know that I was going to be attacked' asked Jack ‘' well, Don't tell it to Watson but- Jack interrupted ‘'Say no more Peter, You peeked over the wall while we were talking ‘' Said Jack ‘'Yep'' Said Peter  ‘'well, lets go home ‘'Said Peter ‘'All right buddy'' Said Jack.
