Putting the pieces together
I am the proud grandaughter of a WWII veteran with a desire to find out more about the war that my grandfather fought in. I have always had a desire to learn as much as I can about WWII. I can only imagine, and watch the movies about what hell our service men went through during this war. My grandfather was tramatized by the events of the war and would never talk about it. I asked him a few years before he died, if he would just write down a time line of the dates and places he had been to in the war, but that was the one thing that he couldn't do for me. All I know is that he had been to Germany. I have tried to go through the Veteran's Admin, but a fire had destroyed all the information on the soldiers for this time frame. I was wondering if anyone has any information that they could share with me on his Infantry Regiment. This is all I have-
Company"F" 329th Infantry Regiment 83rd Infantry Division
Thank you.
