Q When Bill Kurtis signs off each episode of American Justice, it looks like he’s under a bridge or a pier. Where is it?
—Dorothy Bush, Phoenix, Ariz.

To cover the wide variety of cases presented on American Justice, the TV show is filmed in various locations. However, a spokesperson for the A&E network is “95 percent certain” that the signoff with host Bill Kurtis to which you are referring was shot at the Brooklyn Navy Yard in New York.

Q There’s a song ringing in my head, but I don’t know who sang it. I think it’s from the 1950s, and it goes, “Wondering, wondering who’s kissing you / Wondering, wondering if you’re wondering, too.” Please help!
—Ludie Blackman, Lancaster, S.C.

That’s the wonderful “Wondering,” the 1951 breakthrough hit for country singer Webb Pierce. Written by Cajun singer Joe Warner in the ’30s and originally recorded by The Riverside Ramblers, it’s also been covered by Jim Ed Brown and The Browns, Ernest Tubb, Bobby Helms, Willie Nelson, Emmylou Harris and British rocker Elvis Costello.

Q What happened to the CBS show Judging Amy with Amy Brenneman and Tyne Daly, and what are the cast members doing now?
—Laura Welch, Fox Lake, Wis.

With Judging Amy in reruns on TNT, Amy Brenneman didn’t have to hurry to find her next project. She’s set to star in a new fall series for ABC and has two films coming up later this year, The Jane Austen Book Club and 88 Minutes. As for Daly, she’s using the downtime to crusade off-camera for human rights.

Q What is Mr. Las Vegas, Wayne Newton, doing nowadays?
—Barbara Johnson, Apple Valley, Calif.

Newton, 64, still reigns in Las Vegas. He recently signed a deal to headline at Harrah’s on the famous Strip and makes occasional appearances on the NBC series Las Vegas, playing himself. He also is the spokesman for 1800LasVegas.com, an online tourism/reservation site and chairman of the USO Celebrity Circle, spearheading celebrity tours to military bases overseas.

Q I have never seen anything about actor Rutger Hauer. What can you tell me about him?
—Kay Repko, Latrobe, Pa.

Hauer grew up in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and ran away to sea at 15, scrubbing decks aboard a freighter. When he returned home, he worked as an electrician and carpenter while attending acting classes at night. You may have seen him in Blade Runner, Nighthawks, Sin City, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind or any of the other 50 or so movies in which he’s appeared, as well as guest starring in TV’s Alias and Smallville. He recently completed a role in Never Enough, a love story. He married his second wife, Ineke, in 1985.
