What happened to actress Joan Fontaine, Olivia de Havilland’s sister?
—Joanne M., Iowa

Oscar winner Joan Fontaine, 83, retired from acting about five years ago and lives in Carmel, Calif., where she’s an avid golfer and a prizewinning tuna fisherman, but avoids the spotlight. She is best known for her role in Suspicion and also was in movies such as Rebecca and The Women. De Havilland, 85, lives in Paris, is working on her autobiography, and completes crossword puzzles in her spare time. She probably is best known for playing Melanie in Gone With the Wind. “Much of what has been written about me is total fiction,” de Havilland says. “This book is my opportunity to get quite a few things clear. Clear to me, to begin with.”

Please tell me about the Fabulous Four on FOX’s NFL Sunday, especially Howie Long. Howie does the Radio Shack commercials with actress Teri Hatcher. Are they married? And is it true that Terry Bradshaw is leaving the program?
—Shirley W., Michigan

The former Oakland Raiders defensive end recently was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Long’s movie credits include Broken Arrow with

John Travolta and Three Thousand Miles to Graceland with Kevin Costner. Cris Collinsworth, 42, was born in Dayton, Ohio, and raised in Titusville, Fla. He lives in Kentucky with wife Holly and their four children. The three-time Pro Bowler played for the Cincinnati Bengals from 1981 to 1989. He earned a law degree from the University of Cincinnati in 1991. James Brown, 50, played basketball, and he was inducted into the Harvard Sports Hall of Fame. His sports broadcasting career has included covering the Olympics and the NBA Finals for CBS. He lives in his hometown of Washington, D.C., with his wife and daughter. Legendary quarterback Terry Bradshaw, 52, isn’t leaving the show. During his football career, he led the Pittsburgh Steelers to four Super Bowl victories. He has two daughters and lives in Texas.

I would like more information about David Caruso. He was my favorite character on NYPD Blue. What has he been doing?
—Vida R., Arkansas

Known to NYPD Blue fans as Detective John Kelly, Caruso currently is starring in Session 9, a psychological thriller that hit theaters last month. He also co-starred opposite Russell Crowe and Meg Ryan in Proof of Life, an action thriller that reunited Caruso with director Taylor Hackford. Hackford directed Caruso in one of his first big-screen roles, that of the terrified flight cadet in An Officer and a Gentleman. Caruso also starred in the television series Michael Hayes, which ran for one season on CBS. The Queens, N.Y., native lives with his wife, Margaret, in Los Angeles and has a daughter.
